Made of porcelain, the Imperial Green Table Lamp has a temple-jar-shaped profile with a luminous color. The Imperial label is apropos for the porcelain lamp because this piece is made of clay sourced from the area surrounding the kilns that produced objects for the Imperial estate during the heyday of the Chinese dynasties. The formulas to achieve the particular green on this lamp's surface is a secret one guarded by ceramicist families devoted to the single color. The glossy, rich green was originally produced exclusively for those in high society. The lamp rises from an optic crystal base and is fitted with an off-white linen shade.
